Began in HR/Payroll & found myself on the other side of the tech table
I was a subject matter expert for several technology systems when working in HR and Payroll. I enjoyed those systems so much that when looking for my next career move I decided to move to the other side of the table. I started as a Customer Success Manager working with the customers that utilize the technology at a video interviewing company before moving to PageUp.
Once I joined PageUp, I was a Customer Success Manager but was able to work on technical integrations on the side. When an opportunity opened up for me to move into working on technical integrations with our clients as well as overseeing live support, I made the move. I'm still helping customers make the best of our technology, but helping in a different way while now leading a team to best serve our customers.
I manage our technical integrations and live support teams in the US.
In my current role, I have the opportunity to manage our technical integrations and live support teams in the US. I am able to help provide support to our clients in a number of ways, but am also to help develop my team to be on the career paths they would like to be on. Prior to moving into my current role. I helped out team members a lot and expressed interest in moving into a role where I had direct responsibility to develop amazing team members. I love being able to help my team develop in their daily roles as well as learn new things each day.
I love the variety in my day when helping both customers and my team.
No day is the same when working at PageUp no matter what role I'm in. I love this because it gives me flexibility to do the things I love. I'm able to help customers to best utilize our technology while also helping my team to ensure they provide top notch service to our customers. We get a wide variety of questions from our customers, and I get a wide variety of questions from my team. I'm able to build my day in the best possible way to ensure I love coming to work every day.
Make sure to share your interests so you can land in an area you love.
I expressed my interest in technical integrations coming into my role at PageUp and was given the opportunity to work on them even when that was not apart of the role I was hired into. Being able to develop my skills for technical integrations allowed me to then move into a manager role when we had some changeover in team members. I get to work in an area I love while still working with customers, which I didn't want to lose when switching roles. The development opportunities here are amazing and if you express your interests, you will likely be given the opportunity to focus on them.
