A challenge that I've faced with a couple of my clients is that they weren't getting enough candidates coming on and using their Clinch Employee Connections platform, which meant that they weren't getting the maximum return on the purchase they've made and candidates weren't able to get insights directly from their employees.
This is something that can be very easily improved by increasing the visibility of the platform on their careers site, which may seem obvious to us but sometimes not to the client. In this scenario, we would make suggestions of places that make sense in the candidate journey to place links to the platform, sometimes in the form of mocking them up on their careers site so they can see what it would visually look like. We then work with the client's web team (whether that be an in-house team or an external agency) to ensure that they implement as many of our suggestions as possible. Sometimes, there may be push-back from website teams that are less involved with the platform itself, but in these cases it's important to explain the benefit to the candidates and to their ROI.
It's really satisfying to see that when the visibility of the platform is improved based on my suggestions, the client really does see significant increases in candidate traffic on their platforms, which ultimately improves the performance of the entire platform. In some cases, we've seen traffic double or even triple.
