That's a very relevant question! The company is quite conscious of how remote working is quite different from being in the office. So I guess these are just some of the ways we mitigate mental health concerns:
- Regular social time with our team mates, whether it's our Manila or Melbourne based team.
- Regular one-on-one catch ups with your people leader
- Quarterly in-person gatherings for Philippine based members
- Provision for an Employee Assistance Program -- a benefit wherein employees can talk to professional counselors for their mental health concerns, including matters around work, pressure, grieving due to the loss of family members, and recommendations for searching further professional help

Hey Roderico!
We have a pretty tight knit team in Manila and there is a lot of peer and manager support, regardless of being mostly remote. I'll let the team jump in with more on that support.
From a HR perspective we provide access to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) which is a 24/7 confidential counselling service as well as access to tele mental health through Medicard.
We also have a culture where you are encouraged to speak out if you are struggling, whether it be with your health or your workload and we will work with you to figure out a plan to improve your situation.

Hi Roderico - even before the world locked down we had teams of people working remotely across PageUp. Nearly all of our USA based team are remote workers. My team here in Australia has members in Sydney, Melbourne, Hobart, Adelaide and even remote Magnetic Island! We have weekly standups, team meetings and our planning days were just onsite in Melbourne for two days. We always jump at the chance to get together. The Manila team especially. They are awesome people!
We have a very active slack community for daily chats also. It's easy to keep in touch and share whether that's a struggle or a success or both!
